Dermaroller Treatment

What Is a Dermaroller?
A dermaroller is a handheld device covered with tiny needles (usually made of stainless steel or titanium) that range in length from 0.2mm to 3mm. The device is rolled across the skin, creating micro-punctures that prompt the body’s natural healing mechanisms.
How Dermaroller Treatment Works
The process involves the following steps:
Micro-injuries: As the dermaroller needles penetrate the skin, they create tiny, controlled injuries in the upper layer (epidermis) and, in some cases, deeper into the dermis. These micro-injuries are not severe enough to cause real damage, but they trick the body into thinking it needs to repair the skin.
Collagen and Elastin Production: The skin responds to these micro-injuries by producing more collagen and elastin, two proteins essential for keeping the skin smooth, firm, and youthful.
Healing and Rejuvenation: Over time, the skin repairs itself, leading to a smoother, more even texture, reduced scarring, and minimized wrinkles.
Benefits of Dermaroller Treatment
Improvement in Skin Texture: Microneedling helps smooth the skin’s surface, reducing rough patches, and promoting an overall even texture.
Reduction of Fine Lines and Wrinkles: The boost in collagen production helps fill in fine lines and smooth out wrinkles, leading to a more youthful appearance.
Scar Reduction: Dermarollers are particularly effective for treating acne scars, surgical scars, and even stretch marks by stimulating the skin to heal more evenly.
